International Cooperation
We understand the critical need for international cooperation to successfully establish International Financial Centres (IFCs). With this in mind, we have initiated discussions with Financial Centres and relevant institutions in the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Qatar, the United Kingdom, and Malaysia to explore cooperation and secure support.
To this end, we have signed the following Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at exchanging information, building capacity, understanding international best practices, facilitating networking opportunities, and enhancing cooperation:
- November 7, 2024: MoU between Qatar Financial Centre Authority (QFCA) and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
- November 11, 2024: MoU between Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Registration Authority and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Government of the Republic of Maldives.
